Reasons for Small Businesses to Get a Website |
|
There are three key benefits a small business can gain from having a website.
These benefits are getting new customers, keeping current customers, and
increasing transactions via the internet itself. Many small businesses often
overlook one or two of these potential benefits to their detriment. Even if your
website doesn't bring you thousands of new customers right away it can still be
very useful in your current customer relations.
Regardless of whether the search engines have found your website your current
customers and prospective customers have already found YOU. This doesn't mean
that they are a buyer yet, but YOU can in turn put your new website on all of
your fliers, your storefront, your business cards, in commercials or anything
else that current customers or prospective customers already see. Believe it or
not, a decent website greatly enhances your credibility. With a website you can
now follow your customers home and provide them the opportunity to explore your
goods or services further from the comfort of their bedroom without any
pressure. Not only is the customer more relaxed, but now they are getting
straight to the information they are interested in and you don't have to do a
thing.
From there your customers can find your contact information without having to
go to the phonebook, they can send you their contact information or they could
even order your products online by credit card. This again is all done without
your personal effort. Your transactions can now take place within people's homes
themselves. At the very least you keep your business more present in the minds
of your customers.
Search engine optimization takes time, but after a while of experiencing the
benefits of a website with your local customer base you may eventually gain new
customers from across the country or even half-way around the world!
